Note: This entire post is basically google search bait designed to (hopefully) allow others struggling with the same issues to save a bit of time. Hope it helps! October 30, 2014 Update. There is an active Citrix support thread on the “no valid certificates found” issue. Now that OS X Yosemite has been released to the wild, you may notice the Citrix Receiver has issues after adding a new account and/or launching apps from the client interface. In this blog post I. ![]() ![]() For All Things Citrix. Hello everyone, Not long ago, I have been promoted in my work. I've received my personal credential to log into the Citrix server my company has (I work for Worldwide company, and therefore the Citrix server is not in my country). I've installed Citrix receiver for mac (web viewer for my laptop), and it worked directly like a charm. I was able to connect to my remote desktop without a problem at all. After I upgraded my OS X to the latest El Capitan, Citrix didn't worked any longer. I get a 404 error, page not found. I thought the server was down, but at work (with my desktop PC there), I had no issue. Back home, error 404. I tried installing Citrix on my other desktop machine, working under Linux. After a few tweaks (certificate allowance), I managed to connect to my remote desktop from my Linux. From my mac, error 404. I uninstalled the last Citrix Receiver I had installed, and reinstalled it. The funniest is a boos of mine showed into my office with the same laptop (a mac), with a working version. When I asked her how she managed to do that, she explained that she couldn't connect after upgrading (error 404), but there is a manipulation to do for it to work again. She doesn't know much more since she simply gave her computer to the IT department. They searched the web for a day before finding the manipulation. I've asked IT, and they don't remember. And she doesn't remember. Could someone point me in the right direction? What to do when a Citrix Receiver was working for Mac, and then after upgrade, it didn't worked any more? Many thanks for your help! I finally got it working! Here is the walk around. It is not in the safari preferences that the problem occurs. It happens in the Java settings. Open the general settings, and open Java. Go to the security tab, and in the list of websites, add an exception for Close Java, open Safari, and check that block pop up is disabled. Now, log to, and it now works like a charm. Thank you all for your help on this one! Problem is finally solved for me! I will now be able to work from home! Or not hahaha. How to install the latest version of my graphics card for mac. Is it the screen? This suggests you're on a NetScaler (and likely StoreFront) Or does it look more like So you hit the URL: That should redirect you to: That should prompt you for logon credentials (username/password/token). After entering those, you should be redirected to: (or something similar) The 'Loading.htm' I think is just with Web Interface (an older web portal). I honestly hadn't tried accessing a WI site from El Capitan recently. And if you click on the HTTPS and check out the SSL certificate, what is it reporting? Any errors or anything? I'm potentially leaning towards a SSL certificate issue, iOS is finicky and El Capitan may have made OSX picky too. For myself Safari will also prompt to download the ica file. You then need to double click on the ica file to launch it. I created a new plist file to make the ica auto run once downloaded. This is described in the workspace forums. Unfortunately it does not appear that there is anything that citrix can do to alter safari or macos to restore what use to be far simplier mechanism. Apple making it more difficult again unfortunately (yes I know its for security reasons but from a user ability aspect its a poor security solution). Click to expand. The plugin change is permanent as far as Apple is concerned. If Citrix won't put Receiver/Workspace in the App Store and follow Apple's guidelines for plugins then workarounds like opening the.ica file are the only alternative.
The only other way I've found to get around this issue is to use the Workspace/Receiver app itself and set up an account so that everything happens within the app and not through safari. Your EMR portal has to support that option (I think its called pnagent or storefront).
